The Reluctant Dragon - Stebbing

I had the opportunity to play Stebbing in Barter Theatre’s world premiere of The Reluctant Dragon with the Barter Players! The show follows the adventures of a curious young boy named Braxton, a poetry-loving Dragon, and Saint George the Dragon Slayer, who is actually beginning to think he does not want to kill dragons after all. Stebbing is Saint George’s squire, and he helps Saint George stay on track when he gets wrapped up in his poetry and fantasies.

Stebbing is absolutely one of my favorite characters I’ve had the opportunity to play. I really got to explore a lot with this character, and really decide who I wanted him to be. It was a dream-come-true to work with such a collaborative cast and crew, and performing this hilarious show for children each morning was the best way to start the day!
